TWG

Agroforestry

The Agroforestry Thematic Working Group (TWG) supports the transition towards agroforestry by strengthening advisory knowledge, sharing practical experience, and connecting forest and agricultural perspectives on sustainable land management across Europe.

The Agroforestry TWG brings together forest and agricultural advisors, researchers, practitioners, land managers, and other stakeholders to support the wider adoption of agroforestry in both forest and agricultural landscapes. The group promotes knowledge exchange on management and silviculture, ownership and governance, markets and profitability, incentives, and advisory services. Through webinars, workshops, innovation networks, and links with agroecology and forestry initiatives, the TWG aims to identify and share effective practices, address regional challenges, and explore digital and business-model solutions that can strengthen sustainable and resilient agroforestry systems.
