Cross-Border Expertise for
Advisory Modernisation
The Thematic Working Groups (TWGs) are transnational expert groups established to address key thematic areas relevant to forestry advisory systems across EU member states.
What the Working Groups Do
While National Networks are geographically structured, TWGs are topic-driven and bring together expertise from multiple EU countries. The TWGs:
How TWGs Operate:
- Foster cross‑border and European‑level knowledge exchange
- Address key forest management challenges and advisory needs
- Address gaps identified by National & Regional Networks
- Define concrete objectives and activity roadmaps for each TWG
- Collect, review, and curate good practices and ready‑to‑use knowledge
- Feed results back to national level

Connecting Local Needs with European Expertise
The interaction between National Networks and TWGs ensures that local challenges are elevated to European discussions, while European insights are grounded in practical realities.
Together, they form the backbone of the FORADVISE Network.
