The Climate Change Adaptation and Forest Protection TWG brings together forest advisors, researchers, practitioners, and organisations working on climate resilience and forest protection. The group aims to strengthen understanding of the main risks and opportunities associated with climate change, synthesise available knowledge and good practices, and support advisory organisations in moving towards more proactive approaches. Its activities address both abiotic and biotic risks, including wildfires, drought, wind damage, pests, pathogens, and invasive species, while also exploring tree-species choices and the future resilience of European forests under changing climatic conditions.
