Wood Mobilisation

The Sustainable Wood Supply TWG brings together European experts, advisory organisations, researchers, and practitioners to strengthen forest advisory services and support more sustainable wood mobilisation across Europe. Through knowledge exchange, innovation, and practical cooperation, the group works across the forest value chain—from timber inventory and harvesting to decision-support tools, forest infrastructure, digital solutions, and sustainable and climate-smart forest management. Its aim is to enhance advisory knowledge and capacities and support the uptake of sustainable wood supply practices and innovative tools among forest advisors, small-scale private forest owners, forestry practitioners, forest owners’ organisations, researchers, policymakers, and other stakeholders involved in sustainable forest management and wood value chains.
